Short answer: Housecall Pro pricing starts at $79/mo for Basic (1 user), then $189/mo for Essentials (5 users included) and $329/mo for Max (8 users included) on monthly billing. With annual billing, those drop to $59, $149 and $299 per month. However, Max is the only plan with a published price for extra users: $35/mo each. Those are the prices most trades see, including general contractors, remodelers, landscapers, handymen, painters and cleaners. HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops are shown a different, higher list; see below.
Prices as of October 12, 2026. Augmented Trades read every figure below from Housecall Pro’s own pricing page, housecallpro.com/pricing, using the plan cards in the page’s default view. All prices are USD per month and exclude sales tax.

Annual billing (per month, billed yearly): Basic $59 · Essentials $149 · Max $299. In other words, Housecall Pro’s page puts the savings at $20, $40 and $30 a month respectively. Note that the $35 extra-user rate on Max is printed on the plan card without a billing cycle attached, so confirm which cycle it applies to before you sign. See the current rate for your team size →
Also, there are two things the table can’t show. First, Housecall Pro prices by trade. With HVAC, plumbing or electrical selected on housecallpro.com/pricing (checked October 15, 2026), the page shows an Individual/Teams toggle and a different list: Individual (1 user) Basic $79, Essentials $229 and Max $349 a month; Teams Essentials $299/mo with 5 users (+$100/mo per extra user) and Max $649/mo with 8 users (+$75/mo per extra user), with no annual rates. On those paths the sales proposal tool comes with Essentials and Max adds a sales pipeline. The table above is the list general contractors, remodelers, landscapers, handymen, painters, cleaners and most other trades see (also checked October 15, 2026). So pick your trade on the page before you budget. Second, the page was also running limited-time first-month and first-quarter discounts when we read it. Because they come and go, we don’t quote promotional rates as the price.
What Costs Extra on Top of Housecall Pro Pricing
- Payment processing. Card processing starts at 2.59%, and bank payments carry a 1% fee, per Housecall Pro’s pricing FAQ. As a result, on a shop collecting most of its revenue through the app, this can outweigh the subscription. So ask for your actual rate.
- Extra users on Basic and Essentials. The page says extra users are optional but publishes a per-user rate only for Max. Therefore, if you need a sixth login on Essentials, get that number in writing.
- Add-on products. CSR AI (AI call and chat answering), Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting and Business Coaching are listed on the pricing page without prices. By contrast, the sales proposal tool, which the page values at $40/mo, is included on Max.
For example, to get an idea of the totals, here is some arithmetic from the published figures (not quotes). A 10-person team on Max with monthly billing would be $329 plus 2 extra users at $35, which is $399/mo, assuming the $35 rate applies to monthly billing. Meanwhile, a solo operator on annual Basic is $59/mo before processing fees.
Vendor prices change without notice. For current verified figures on every vendor we track, each read from the vendor’s own pricing page and dated, see the contractor software pricing tracker.
Which Plan Fits Which Business
Basic ($59–79/mo) fits a solo operator who needs booking, quoting, invoicing and payment in one app. Notably, job costing and the price book are already included at this tier, which isn’t true of every competitor’s entry plan.
Essentials ($149–189/mo) is the plan for a two-to-five-person crew. Here, the deciding features are route grouping, flat-rate pricing, GPS tracking for techs and the QuickBooks Online sync. In fact, if you already do your books in QuickBooks Online, the sync alone can justify the jump from Basic. Our field service software + QuickBooks guide covers how the syncs compare across vendors.
Max ($299–329/mo) earns its price when you sell maintenance agreements, quote larger replacement jobs with visual proposals, or need API access to connect other systems. On most trades’ pricing paths it’s also the only tier with a published per-seat rate. So if you’re between five and eight people, compare Essentials plus unpublished extra seats against Max before deciding.
Housecall Pro Pricing vs Jobber
The two are priced differently, so compare them at your team size. For instance, Housecall Pro includes 5 users on Essentials and 8 on Max. Jobber, on the other hand, prices by team-size band and publishes no per-user rate. Our Jobber pricing breakdown has the full numbers, and our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison covers where each wins on features.
Where Housecall Pro Is Not the Answer
- Project-based construction. Multi-week remodels with change orders and progress billing fit construction platforms better. Instead, see our Projul review and our JobTread vs Buildertrend breakdown.
- Larger multi-department shops. Operations with a call center, a dedicated dispatcher and many techs are the market ServiceTitan is built for. However, it doesn’t publish pricing. Our ServiceTitan alternatives guide explains where that line sits.
- Not sure what you need yet. Our free tool finder asks about your trade and crew size and points you to a short list.
Housecall Pro Pricing FAQ
Does Housecall Pro have a free trial?
Yes. In fact, Housecall Pro’s pricing page offers a 14-day free trial with full access to the Max plan and no credit card required.
Does Housecall Pro require a contract?
No. The vendor’s FAQ says it does not require long-term contracts. Also, you can upgrade at any time. However, downgrades take effect at the end of the current monthly or annual billing period.
How much does Housecall Pro charge per user?
Under Housecall Pro pricing, users are bundled into each plan: 1 on Basic, 5 on Essentials, 8 on Max. In addition, on most trades’ pricing paths the only published extra-user rate is $35/mo per additional user on Max. On the HVAC, plumbing and electrical paths the page lists $100/mo per extra user on Essentials and $75/mo on Max (checked October 15, 2026).
Is annual billing worth it?
Annual saves $20–40 a month depending on the plan, but you commit to a year up front. That’s why the sensible order is the free trial first, then monthly billing for a cycle, then annual once the tool has stuck.
Bottom Line
Overall, Housecall Pro publishes real prices and bundles users generously on its middle and top tiers, which makes budgeting easier than with quote-only competitors. For most crews of two to five, Essentials is the plan to price out first: $149/mo on annual billing, $189 monthly. Even so, check the page yourself before you commit.
