Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Disclosure: Augmented Trades participates in affiliate programs. If you click a link and make a purchase we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Read our full disclosure.

The Short Version

Augmented Trades earns commissions from some of the contractor software platforms we cover. When you click a link to one of these platforms and sign up for a paid plan, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

We only recommend tools we believe are genuinely useful for trade contractors. Every article that contains affiliate links is clearly marked at the top. We never accept payment for positive coverage, never publish vendor-written content as our own, and never invent customer success stories.

If that satisfies your need to know, you can stop reading and head back to the article. The rest of this page goes into more detail for readers who want to understand exactly how this works.

How Affiliate Relationships Work on This Site

When Augmented Trades is approved as an affiliate by a software platform, we receive a unique tracking link that identifies clicks and signups originating from our content. If a reader clicks one of these links and becomes a paying customer of the platform within a defined window (typically 30 to 90 days, depending on the program), the platform pays us a commission.

The commission structure varies by platform, and the specific terms are governed by each platform’s affiliate agreement.

Critical clarification: the commission comes out of the platform’s marketing budget, not your wallet. You pay the same price whether you click an affiliate link or navigate to the platform directly. Affiliate links are simply how the platforms attribute new customers to the publications that referred them.

Platforms Augmented Trades Has Affiliate Relationships With

As of the date above, Augmented Trades is an approved affiliate or referral partner for:

  • Jobber — field service management
  • Housecall Pro — field service management
  • ServiceTitan — enterprise service management
  • FieldCamp — AI-powered field service management
  • Service Fusion — multi-trade field service management
  • LeadTruffle — speed-to-lead automation
  • NiceJob — review management
  • Rosie — AI voice receptionist
  • Projul — construction project management

This list is updated periodically as new partnerships are added or terminated. Some platforms covered editorially on the site (such as Buildertrend, CompanyCam, Intuit/QuickBooks, JobTread, and Houzz Pro) are not currently affiliate partners — when that’s the case, links in articles point to the platform’s website directly without affiliate tracking.

Editorial Standards That Govern Affiliate Coverage

The existence of an affiliate relationship does not influence whether or how a platform is covered on Augmented Trades. Three commitments govern every piece of content on the site:

1. Coverage is editorial, not paid placement. No platform pays Augmented Trades for inclusion in articles, favorable positioning, or specific framing. Editorial decisions about which tools to feature, how to compare them, and what to recommend are made independently of affiliate considerations.

2. Honest pros and cons are non-negotiable. Every tool covered on this site has limitations, and we say what they are. If a platform is wrong for a particular shop size or use case, we say that — even when the platform pays us a commission.

3. We do not invent customer stories or fabricate evidence. No fake contractor testimonials, no invented case studies, no made-up statistics. If a claim is presented as fact, it is verified. If it’s an opinion or estimate, it is labeled as such.

When Coverage and Affiliate Status Diverge

There are cases where Augmented Trades covers a platform we don’t have an affiliate relationship with — either because we haven’t applied yet, the platform doesn’t run an affiliate program, or our application is pending. In those cases, articles link to the platform’s website directly. We don’t earn anything from those clicks, but the coverage is still editorially appropriate.

There are also cases where Augmented Trades has an affiliate relationship but does not actively recommend the platform in a given article — because it isn’t the best fit for that audience or topic. Affiliate status doesn’t earn a recommendation; editorial fit does.

Disclosure Practices on Individual Articles

Every article that contains affiliate links includes a disclosure at both the top and the bottom of the article. The disclosure explicitly identifies the article as containing affiliate links and points readers to this page for more detail.

Affiliate links throughout the site use the URL pattern augmentedtrades.com/go/[platform] — these are short, branded redirect URLs that pass readers through to the platform’s site with our tracking parameter attached. They are functionally identical to clicking the platform’s website directly, except that they allow the platform to attribute the referral to Augmented Trades.

How We Use Affiliate Revenue

Affiliate revenue from this site funds:

  • Editorial research time, including evaluating platforms and verifying claims
  • Hosting, software, and infrastructure costs for the publication
  • Ongoing content production across all trade verticals covered

Augmented Trades is a small, independent publication. Affiliate revenue is the primary way we sustain editorial operations without resorting to vendor-paid content or other compromises to editorial independence.
