Short answer: The Jobber Claude connector lets Claude look up your clients, properties, requests, quotes, jobs and invoices. It can also create and edit clients, properties and requests, and it can create quotes. However, it cannot create or edit jobs or invoices, and it cannot delete anything. The same connector works in ChatGPT, too. According to Jobber, it is included on all Core, Connect, Grow and Plus plans.

Sources as of October 18, 2026: Jobber’s help center article, Connect Jobber to Claude and ChatGPT (updated October 1, 2026), and Jobber’s product updates page (entries dated October 7 and 8, 2026). Augmented Trades has not tested the connector hands-on. Every claim below is Jobber’s, as written on those pages.

What the Jobber Claude connector can read and write

First, Jobber lists what the connector can do record by record. The table below follows that list.

RecordLook upCreateEdit
ClientsYesYesYes
PropertiesYesYesYes
RequestsYesYesYes
QuotesYesYes, with a total, deposit and discount (no unit costs or margins)No
JobsYesNoNo
InvoicesYesNoNo

Jobber says the connector cannot delete or archive any record. It also cannot add, edit or remove schedule items. However, Jobber’s own example prompts and its product update entries show that you can ask questions about your schedule. So the schedule is something you can read but not change.

Jobber’s product update entries describe the same split. They say you can ask about clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, requests and your schedule. They also say that the connector surfaces new requests, quotes waiting for approval and unpaid invoices. The admin side covers creating clients, properties and requests.

Which plans include the Jobber Claude connector

Jobber states that the connector is “available on all Core, Connect, Grow, and Plus plans.” You can check your plan under Account and Billing, which sits behind the gear icon. You need an active Claude or ChatGPT account. Jobber says both platforms’ free plans work with the connector.

For what each plan costs, see our page on Jobber pricing.

How to set up the Jobber Claude connector

Jobber’s help center gives five steps for each AI tool. You start inside Jobber, not inside the AI tool.

Claude setup

  1. In Jobber, open the App Marketplace and select the Claude connector.
  2. Select Learn More to reach the Claude connector directory.
  3. Select Connect on the Jobber connector.
  4. Sign in to Jobber if asked.
  5. Select Allow Access.

Afterward, you land on a Claude page where you can see and customize which tools Claude can use in your account.

ChatGPT setup

  1. In Jobber, open the App Marketplace and select the ChatGPT connector.
  2. Select Learn More to reach the ChatGPT plugin directory.
  3. Select Connect on the Jobber connector.
  4. Sign in to Jobber if asked.
  5. Allow the ChatGPT connector to access your account.

Then you land on a ChatGPT plugin page. There you can see and customize which tools ChatGPT can use.

Permissions, admin controls and limits

The one control Jobber describes is tool selection. After you connect, you can see and customize which tools Claude or ChatGPT may use in your account. Jobber’s article does not describe organization-wide admin settings.

The article also does not say which Jobber user roles can connect. It does not explain how to disconnect or revoke the connector. For those questions, Jobber points users to its support team. So ask support before you connect on an account with several users.

Finally, Jobber adds one warning. The connector is not the same as letting an AI browser tool sign in to Jobber. Jobber says it blocks automated browser agents from signing in, so you should use the connector setup instead.

Data and security notes

Jobber’s help article says nothing about data storage, retention or sharing with AI providers. Because of that, we cannot tell you how your data is handled. So check with Jobber’s support team and your AI provider’s privacy settings before you connect. Think about client phone numbers, addresses and quote amounts.

Example prompts to try

These come from Jobber’s own help article. Treat them as examples, not guarantees.

  • “Show me every new request from this week.”
  • “Show me all quotes still awaiting response.”
  • “Here’s a work order email from [company name], create the request in Jobber.”
  • “Give me my morning briefing.”
  • “Here is my client list. Clean it up and add each client to Jobber. Flag any row that’s missing a name, and don’t guess at missing contact details.”

Notice the last prompt, because it asks the AI not to guess at missing details. That habit is wise for any prompt that writes to your records.

Who should use the connector, and who can wait

In short, the connector fits an owner who spends the evening on admin. For example, reading requests, chasing quotes and cleaning up a client list are all supported today. However, it does not build jobs or invoices. So if your pain is invoicing, the connector will only help you read what is unpaid.

It also works with tools you already pay for, since free Claude and ChatGPT plans are enough.
